
In 2024, Linda Shy, a female family member, developed an infection in one eye. After receiving medical treatment, bright white particulate material was discharged from the affected area. In 2025, an optometrist diagnosed her with Demodex blepharitis and prescribed Xdemvy, a medication specifically intended to treat Demodex mite infestations. During the period of infestation, she also experienced temporary memory difficulties. After the onset of her eye condition, she later observed white debris in her left ear and, due to worsening hearing loss, obtained hearing aids in 2024.
